Services performed by Garbe for this project
LocationWe were able to attract the customer to this site due to its location at a key transportation hub and because of the existing size of Garbe Logistikpark Westfalenhütte.
PlanningIn the course of the joint planning process with the customer and our general contractor we were able to address all needs and integrate these into the construction as efficiently as possible.
ConsultationBy analysing the customer-specific requirements of our logistics facility, we have created an optimum hall with our general contractor, making the best use of the space and ensuring short internal distances.
ConstructionThe almost 48,600 m² logistics building is being built in a 9-month construction phase and so will be ready for occupancy in the fourth quarter of 2017.
RevitalisationThe conversion area was renovated by the former owner and seller ThyssenKrupp based on a refurbishment plan.
ParticularsA particular highlight of this property is the fact that air conditioning is integrated throughout the hall and in the offices.

Photovoltaic to make energy use even more efficient!
Alternative energies are an increasingly important topic these days. Thats why GARBE and Amazon are especially interested in opportunities to use alternative energy when implementing joint projects. With this in mind, a device for installing a photovoltaic System on the roof was built into this property in advance.
LED lighting system
The complete hall is equipped with a daylight-controlled LED lighting System. This means that lighting adjustments within the hall are controlles by the Level of daylight and sections can even be partially or fully shut down.
